Globus Competence Centre for Globalization and Sustainable Development
At Globus, we believe that high-quality research and education can achieve great things in terms of developing new and innovative solutions to sustainability challenges, as seen within the context of a globalizing economy and society.
Dedicated to Making Change Happen
Our activities provide a platform in which the latest research findings in sustainable development and global business can be heard, understood, debated – and ultimately, implemented – by the individuals capable of instigating real change in our society: senior executives, politicians, administrators, researchers, educators, and business students.
Central to how we achieve this is our network, with partners like Worldconnectors, the European Academy for Business in Society (EABIS), and the Sustainability Challenge Foundation (SCF), together with whom we initiate and deliver high-profile courses, workshops, conferences, lectures, symposia, as well as coordinate global and innovative research undertakings.
International Programme on the Management of Sustainability
Every year, Globus and the SCF hold a
major seven-day executive seminar for international senior officials from the public, private and non-profit sectors to highlight and share the latest research in sustainable development. Other activities over the past year have put the spotlight on micro-credits as a solution to poverty in global society, the path to achieving a sustainable globalization, the role that diplomacy plays in negotiations surrounding sustainability and its global management, the mutual gains approach to resolving conflicts around sustainable development – and so much more.
Together with the SCF, Globus connects the best minds in the field of global sustainability – enlightening others with their insights, and advancing innovation in this critical knowledge area through collaborative research ventures.
