The Academic tier of our International MBA program starts by increasing your business expertise (Understanding), and introduces more complexity with a focus on interdependencies (Connecting). You then develop core leadership skills that will help propel your career (Leading), followed by diving deep into your particular areas of interest (Enhancing). Our ‘real-world experience’ component (Engaging) then provides you with an opportunity to put everything you have learned into action.

September: Understanding I

At the start of the program you will learn about the basic functional areas of business through courses such as:

November: Understanding II

As the program progresses, you will build on your expertise in a variety of areas:

During the winter period you will focus on connecting the vital interdependencies between functional areas, with courses in:

March: Leading

You will then start to increase your focus on the different dimensions of organisational and personal leadership, with courses in:

April: Enhancing

This is the elective period – you can gain expanded knowledge in three contemporary business areas of your choice:

• Entrepreneurship
• Financial Risk Management
• M&A Valuation and Corporate Restructuring
• Management Control
• B2B Marketing
• Cross Cultural Psychology

March-September: Engaging

Now it is time to make things real. The following opportunities will give you a chance to engage with the external world using your new knowledge and leadership abilities:

• International Study Week, Georgetown University, Washington DC, USA: April
• MBA Management Project: May-September

The Personal Curriculum

Your academic experience at TiasNimbas does not stand alone. Our International MBA program’s second tier recognizes the importance of personal development. Our Personal and Career Development Programme (PCDP) provides you with:

• Personal coaching and a series of intense workshops during which you will take time for self-reflection, set goals, and build critical personal and team competencies;

• One-on-one career coaching for the job market competencies and organisational contexts that will support your career ambitions and help you thrive;

• Interaction with faculty and peers from different industries and nationalities in a highly interactive and intimate learning environment.

The Societal Curriculum

TiasNimbas’ International MBA’s third tier uses a holistic approach - you will see the bigger picture, deal with diversity and complexity, and understand the broader stakeholder management issues. It is a carefully designed aspect of the program that will help you engage stakeholders to achieve real impact while understanding the consequences and impact on society.
