CEO Nancy McKinstry of Wolters Kluwer Advises a New Generation of Top Managers at Graduation Day TiasNimbas Business School
8 Feb 2010
Daily journal Het Financieele Dagblad (February 4) published an interview with Nancy McKinstry, chief executive officer of Wolters Kluwer and member of the board of directors of TiasNimbas Business School. McKinstry states in the interview that at this moment a completely new generation of top managers is educated by TiasNimbas Business School.
McKinstry still remembers the day she graduated and left university with her MBA degree. She acknowledges that many things have changed since then. In McKinstry’s time MBA programmes were focussed on knowledge, which is in sharp contrast with modern programmes. “Nowadays business schools create international team players with a focus on management skills, instead of knowledge”, says McKinstry.
When young professionals ask her about the secret of her success, she is always clear and straightforward. McKinstry: “Focus on the result, that is what counts. Get your teeth into something and go for it!”
