Dr. Van Gestel is Professor of New Modes of Governance in Social Security and Employment Services at TiasNimbas Business School. In the interview Dr. Van Gestel argues reforms in the welfare state are rarely the outcome of well-considered thinking.

22 Feb 2010 Government Should Unlock Public Information
Guus Pijpers, Associate Professor Information Behaviour at TiasNimbas Business School wrote an opinion piece in daily journal Het Financieele Dagblad. In this article Mr. Pijpers argues for the Dutch government to develop a better organised transfer system for public data. A lot of relevant information is very hard to access for citizens. “That should change”, says Mr. Pijpers.

Amsterdam-based television channel AT5 attended the opening seminar of the 2010 Executive Pit-Stop series on 16 February 2010. Raoul van Etten, Director Executive Programmes at TiasNimbas Business School, was interviewed for the business programme Amsterdam Inc. that aired on 17 February 2010.

16 Feb 2010 Horizontal Accountability
Theo Camps, Professor of Organisation Science and Public Administration at TiasNimbas Business School, wrote an article on the new form of accountability that supervisors face at public sector enterprises. In the article, written for Dutch e-magazine Governance Update, Mr. Camps focused on the changed role of supervisors when their organisations are in financial problems or experience other difficult issues.

In an article in academic magazine The Human Factor (January 2010) Guus Pijpers, Associate Professor Information Behaviour at TiasNimbas Business School, states that information productivity can be increased by focusing on the human aspect of information exchange.
