PMC research covers three specific ‘workplaces: SHRM, HRD, and Psychological Contract and Engagement.
Knowledge sharing within and between workplaces delivers useful multidisciplinary insights. Strategic HRM Workplace Focus: Alignment of HR strategy and company’s corporate vision; HR and performance of individuals and organisations; relationships with other functional disciplines like finance and ICT; HR aspects of leadership and change management, including cutting edge issues like ageing and remote working. Human Resources Development Workplace Focus: (Management) development, learning and training issues/questions related to performance of individuals and organisations.
This is taken from the individual perspective of the involved manager/employee (learning) and from the perspective of the organisation (added value). Psychological Contract and Engagement Workplace Focus: Relationships between involvement of managers; employees and performance. Relationships with age (ageing) and diversity. Technology and outcomes of (world-wide) engagement research. Translation of outcomes engagement research into strategies and HR policies. |
